Minnesota State Parks History Challenge

Was at Roy Lake opening up the cabin for the season. It was also the kick off of the Minnesota State parks History Challenge. As soon as the challenge cords were posted we headed off to Itasca State Park. What I thought would be a nice short park visit turned into a 3+ hour 5 stage geocache adventure.

Itasca is my favorite park and I never get tired of seeing the sites. This cache brings you to many interesting areas of the park. Notyet did a great job on this cache. I was surprised (and happy) to get the first to find in this popular park.

After this adventure we headed to Bemidji to get some plumbing supplies. Of course we managed to do some caching on the way. We also looked at some docks.

Ended up being a long (but fun) day.

That's a big loon!! (found it between stage 1 and 2) This would make an interesting cache container.

My take on those Minnesota Lottery helping wildlife TV commercials.
