Saturday Walk in the Greenway.

Went for a walk on Saturday along the Greenway. The bike path is mostly open and dried out so I replaced some of my geocaches that were pulled due to the high water. The Red River is still out of the banks.

The mark on the tree is from ice. (Olson-Elmwood Greenway Trail Access)

Debris from the flood hanging in a tree.

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Big old cottonwood tree. Between Lincoln Park and Central park (behind Reeves Drive).

The Grand Forks dog park in Lincoln park which is still a bit muddy for the dogs.

Some ducks enjoying the water. (Lincoln Park)

Some shorebirds. (Lincoln Park)

Some Geese. (Lincoln Park)

This is one big piece of driftwood! (Lincoln Park)

Old farmstead across the Red River. (Near the Olson-Elmwood Trail Access)

Check out the missing bark (line halfway up the trees on the west shore) from the ice moving up the river during the flood. (Looking northeast toward Lincoln Clubhouse)

Not much bark left on this tree.
